Can't see exif values anymore in Imageviewer

Earlier it was possible to see the exif values in Imageviewer. One did not have to configure anywhere but it came up automatically when Imagerviewer was started. It is supposed to be a part of Addons in Kubuntu. The plugin button in the preference section is shown as gray now. Search cannot locate it under Synoptics either. Thanks in anticipation.
