how do i change photo pixels

i have photos in computer which i want to download to websites which require pixel dimensions different from my pics--How do i change pixel dimensions of my pics to match website requirements?

Gimp will probably do it. You are also uploading the the site, not downloading.

There are a few programs that will do it. Gimp is definitely one of them.

If using Gimp

1. Open the file.
2. From the "Image" menu, select "Scale Image"
3. In the window that opens set units to pixels
4. Type in the size you want, breaking the link if desired (to scale X and Y by different amounts)
5. Press Scale
6. From the "File" menu "Save", or "Save As" if you want to save it with a different name
