how to see Sun raster files in Ubuntu

I've some old graphic files with name xxx.rs and I can not find any application that can open these files. I think they are Sun raster files.

Maybe try Gimp (needs to be installed)
or Eog (applications -> graphics -> image viewer).

There is a 'testfile' which I was able to view with Gimp and Eog.
