I have no trash bin on eog toolbar

How do I create a trash bin on the EOG toolbar ?
I can't do it with toolbar editor.
Could you help me please ?

Right click something you want to delete and choose "move to trash" and it will be deleted. You do need to occasionally empty the trash. There should be a small trash icon on the bottom right panel. You can drag and drop trash too I think. If for some reason it's gone you can add it by right clicking the panel and choosing "add to panel" and then selecting the trash icon in the window that opens. If you want a trash icon on the actual desktop, I think you can do that from the configuration editor. Click apps - system tools - config editor. If it's not there you need to add it to the menu. Right click the menu bar and choose edit menus and then select the system tools folder and add a check to the config editor. I'm not 100% about adding the icon to the desktop and I don't have Ubuntu in front of me at the moment. However, I think you go to apps - nautilus - desktop options and there are some things you can check like having drives on the desktop, the computer icon or home folder and I think (but not sure) there is one for trash too.

Thanks vey much, Jim. I am quite new to Ubintu and inadvertently scrubbed the trash icon from the panel. A ot to lear as I am first of all a refugee from Windows. took up the iMac and have added Ubuntu.

Thank you Jim. The trash icon disappeared when I last ran update manager. It's now back and working.
