using Empathy on Ubuntu

Asked by Derrick

I am using Empathy IM Client and have all my contacts from Yahoo and MSN messenger protocols. I can communicate in text and all seems to be running well. What I would like to know now is how do I initiate voice/video chat as I have the peripherals to do so and Empathy "does" support this in these 2 protocols. Is there some other programs or supports that need to be added in for this to work? Please be exacting in instruction, as I am fairly green to the Ubuntu experience and Not sure what to do and how. Thank you.

You might want to take a look to the documentation:

The documentation is indeed the best source for answers, other than
that you can search on google for some videos that might be very
helpful [1]
