i can use in empathy hotmail account?

hi i just setup ubuntu! and i don't know how to use empathy!
when i open empathy i can press only the accounts f4...i put there my hotmail account
but nothing happen!
what i do wrong and what i must to do!

     Hi. There is a way to set up hotmail as a pop3 account; you must set it up for SSL and all, and you must set it up as a login type account. Several places on the web go through the full setup, there is one at http://lifehacker.com/5151551/hotmail-enables-pop3-for-us-users and another at http://www.ghacks.net/2009/03/14/hotmail-pop3-configuration/ that may help. I use the Windows Live version, similar setup, and it works fine for just email.
