Empathy Does not Notify of incoming mail?

It doesn't get any clearer than that.

Am i the only one noticing there are no notifications for incoming mail? or is my Empeathy version for Karmic Koala not working fine?

  hi.. mine started working! i did nothing. dunno how ....but it works well now!!
