i would like to know,whether it`s possible to use Google talk with ubuntu...if so pls tell me the name of the software and associated processes..

Enter following command to install Empathy:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install empathy

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo aptitude install empathy

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.
