Empathy Internet Messenger not working.

I turned my computer on this morning and went to log on to empathy. and got this error code.

ERROR CONTACTING ACCOUNT MANAGER
There was an error while trying to connect to the Telepathy Account Manager. The error was:

Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken

I haven't done anything to my computer, so im 100% sure I didn't cause this.

if you make a new ubuntu user and log in as that, does the application work ok?
