Exactly the same is true for me, I can write messeges but the buttons for audio and video callings are not active so I can not call anybody and the people in my MSN cant call me...

Please help, everything is very good in Ubuntu except video and audio callings of MSN... If there is a solution please advice, or is there another better programme than Empathy to be able to use audio and video calling? It is been a whiel since Lisandro Laura asked this question adn there is no answer at all?

i've the same problem... I've understand that it is caused because of the old server by whom msn messenger match.

old Messenger 4.7 adopt an old bugged different server rather than new windows live messneger. So how to use the new microsoft messenger server?

Empathy works perfectly on Ubuntu 11.04.

Empathy works perfectly? Could you video call all of your contacts from EMpathy? I cant :(

Can you help with this problem?
