gtalk contact list with empathy

My empathy doesn't show my gtalk contact list, I don't see either the avatars.I'm with ubuntu 10.04.

Same ubuntu version, same problem. Messages are received fine, but contacts from gtalk accounts are not displayed in Empathy

Same Ubuntu version, with same problem.

I solve this problem adding the Telepathy PPA to my sources.list and updating with the new packages...

I had the same problem and after wast a couple of hour finded the solution using Telepathy PPA and posted the solution in my blog. Try it:

@Rodrigo: I tried it, everything seemed ok during the update but it still doesn't work :( I restarted the computer, tried to update again(maybe I shouldn't?) and then I had this: unableto connect to packages medibuntu.org, some index files failed to download, they have been ignored or old ones used instead. Any idea ?

Same problem here on fresh and updated install of Ubuntu 10.04.

Solution:

sudo aptitude install telepathy-gnome
