I cannot view contact list in empathy instant messaging

I cannot view my msn contact list in empathy instant messaging and I want to know how to view it

Unfortunately it seems more users having an issue with msn.
Please open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t

Type:
lsb_release -d ## hit [Enter] after each command to generate the output.

empathy -v

dpkg -l telepathy-butterfly

dpkg -l telepathy-haze

## where 'l' is lower case of 'L'

Highlight the output in terminal window and paste it with middle mouse click here in comment field.
