Copy and Paste full conversations from Empathy somewhere else

Asked by Elisa Kolk

I'd like to be able to copy and paste (or export to a text file) full conversations from Empathy IM into email. What is the easiest/best way to do this?

So far when I select and copy and then go to paste into gmail, nothing happens. I'm very new to empathy but I didn't see any answers in previously asked questions or in help.

Thanks!

@Elisa Kolk
For full conversations, you rather want to copy the log in text files,
 instead of manually copy and paste from chat window.

Empathy log files can be found under ~/.local/share/Empathy/logs/

It has been noted at http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/FAQ
Hope this helps!
