startup

Every time i startup it forgets my password and i have go into it and re-enter my account password and then my contacts wont show? why is this happening? And yes i push Ctrl H and use the menu but it still doesn't work

make sure you are the owner of $HOME with:

cd /home; sudo chown -R $USER:$USER ./$USER

You will get some errors due to special folders but this is normal.

You could also try renaming the empathy config folder and rebuild your profile from scratch to see if its profile based.
