i have installed ubuntu 10.10 desktop edition but i cant install yahoo messenger ?

i have installed ubuntu 10.10 desktop edtion but i cant install yahoo massenger ? i also try from wine but it is not working properly so to run massenger what i hve to do?

That program is only for windows (and mac, maybe). For ubuntu, there are lots of Instant Messaging aplications, like aMsn, emesene, empathy, etc. You can download them from the software centre or synaptic.
All of them support hotmail, yahoo, and almost all the clients.

yahoo messaging one for the firefox or whatever you use it seems to work good for me if you go to yahoo try that works good in mine I have been running ubuntu for years and it works good Otom

yahoo messenger does not work on linux. use empathy that comes with ubuntu instead.
