Empathy chat won't load Facebook chat.

Hello. I have been unable to load Facebook chat into Empathy. I have loaded five other chat services into Empathy with no problems.

The error message I get is Authentication Failed. There are no advanced options.

I have tried it with facebook closed, open, chat offline and every other way I can think of.

Can anyone help please? This is the first time I've used Linux and may be missing something somewhere.

Problem solved. It simply took facebook awhile to allow Ubuntu to recognize the Username change I had done a while before. It came up instantly about twenty four hours later.

i have had the same problem but after looking at so many different ways of doing the same thing. i just tried typing just my user name

<email address hidden>

to

keiffee

and this worked Empathy logged in with no problems. hope this helps it did me
