GUI method of disableing Emerald?

Asked by AardvarkSagus

I am a recent convert to Ubuntu and was pointed to Emerald in my search to further beautify my system. I enjoy using Compiz-Fusion but I was looking for more extensive themes than Emerald could provide. Once I started to find decent GTK themes I wanted to use I found I couldn't disable the Emerald window dressings in place. Is there a method using the GUI (since I am a relatively inexperienced Linux user and am uncomfortable with config files or command lines) to disable Emerald until further notice. I don't want to uninstall it to turn it off because there is a good chance that I will want to use it again in the future.

If there is nothing currently, what about the possibility of including a method in future updates? I love the simplicity of emerald, but I also want the versatility of choosing when I want to use it.
