problem with window control buttons in Ubuntu

Asked by Sadi Yumuşak

Trying to use this elegant theme in Ubuntu 12.04, I see the right edges of window control buttons (in pre-light/hover) and pressed mode are cut off, which spoils the whole thing.
And when I open the respective image files in GIMP or Inkscape I see that their width is 18 px although it should be 16, I think.
Why is that so?
How come these are displayed properly in Ubuntu-based Elementary OS and not in Ubuntu?
Could this be a bug?
Is there a workaround I could do?
And finally, couldn't also provide images for the minimize control button although this has been apparently removed from Elementary OS (only God knows why ;-)
Thank you very much once again for bringing elegance to Linux world.

This is a problem I experience with the elementary-theme, and the problem goes away together with this theme as soon as I switch to another theme, of course ;-)

Is it ok after a reboot? If not I suggest you report a bug

Rebooting doesn't change anything either, so it must be a bug.
Trying to create a bug report from here (linking this question to it) or from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/elementary-theme/+filebug however failed as well :-(

If I'm not mistaken this leads to reporting a bug in Unity, but this bug I think is in the elementary-theme, isn't it?

If you want to change the package name to report the bug against then tweak the command as you wish. It's a simple command :)

Yes, it's a simple command, but apparently it's only for official Ubuntu packages, and not for third party packages like the elementary-theme here: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/elementary-theme/+question/205053
Sorry, this is my first bug report in launchpad, and I don't know how to proceed from here.
I think I'll give up...

Can you help with this problem?
