"Opal Liste... No nonce in authentication" in debug

Asked by flashvoid on 2009-07-06

Hi
I trying to register my sip account at ZTE softswitch and I was successful with other softphones (kphone and twinkle). Now I want to use ekiga but I can't solve one problem.

In normal registration procedure softphone sends REGISTER packet with user data but without authorization data, next step registar sends “401 Unauthrized “ and last, softphone sends registration data in next REGISTER packet.

Hi,

Could you attach a full debug output to help understand this more deeply?

Best regards,

I run preconfigured ekiga end exit when it says "Can't register"

Thank you, this seems good enough. I hope to get you an answer later today or tomorrow.

Best regards,
Yannick

One more detail, i got exactly same problem trying to register asterisk1.4 box on this registar. May be it will usefull.

Anyway - thankyou for your time.

Yannick Defais (sevmek) said : #6

Hello,

It seems there is something weird in the way Ekiga express the log (incorrect), but the ekiga behaviour -refusing- seems correct.

The answer of the registar is weird, just like if it was cut at some point:

WWW-Authenticate: Digest realm="test",

Ending with a "," seems a bug at the registrar.

Be aware, the same behaviour can be caused by several reasons, thus the issue with asterisk might be, or not, another different issue.

Best regards,
Yannick

Oh, i just look in the packet that registar send ...

Obviously ekiga can`t parse correctly "new line" or "tab" symbol. Now i go and look hex value of this symbol. I not sure that i can train ekiga to parse it correctly by myself. Can you help me ?

flashvoid (mail-kraev) said : #8

Parser eat some log. Originally
<TAB>nonce="79f2b2d4ad02c943d52769752057a6be",
<TAB>ZTE-ID=c998a011b2ed656f05c1b116fd268575

This is string i catch by wireshark
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WWW-Authenticate: Digest realm="462098",\r\n\tnonce="14b134a8b0263efd70b6772a2c266849",\r\n\tZTE-ID=eb25a5a655d56a0a00bcd9fdb6e8fa6c
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This "\r\n\t" in hex look like x0d x0a x09

Yannick Defais (sevmek) said : #10

Nice catch! I'm pushing this upstream.

Thank you.

Yannick
