could not register sip account ubuntu 9.04 with ekiga 3.2

I am using 9.04 ubuntu and trying to use ekiga 3.2.

 created an account with correct ekiga.net account.
 selected current audio and video devices (which are working perfectly in other programs)
 but I still can not make a echo test and getting
 could not register sip:....@ekiga.net

Hello,

I've had similar problems, your network type might be a reason.
Are you behind a router or direct-connected ?
Did you set any STUN-related settings? ( it's probably configuration assistant to ask you)

hi, again
I'm behind a router which is linksys (wifi). Ekiga 3.2 is the one which comes default in ubuntu 9.04)
using configuration assistant, but it's not asking any thing about STUN-related settings.

asssistant has the following steps
 -->ekiga.net account
 -->ekiga call out account (which i don't have an account yet, so skipping this menu without sign up)
 -->connection type (I tried all options, none of them worked )
 -->audio devices (HDA PTLIB/ALSA, these are working devices with other programs)
 -->video input device
     then done, could not register.

I have also tried to change preferences menu and didn't work, but there is another section called 'H.323 Settings", options as may I try these also?

 * forward URI : h232:
 * Enable H.245 tunneling (default checked)
 * Enable early H.245 (default checked)
 * enable fast start procedure (default checked)

and DTMF mode
