Why do I get "security check failed" notice at the bottom?

Asked by Matt89

I am registered as a user - but when I dial or connect, a message "security check failed" comes up at the bottom and the process stops - any advice?
I am using PC-to-phone and am also a registered diamond user.

I have the error now too. I had ekiga installed in kubuntu yesterday and it worked. I wiped it and made a fresh install of 7.04 ubuntu and now I get the error message "security check failed"

I eventually had to un-install ekiga - struggled to get my money back, and
eventually downloaded Skype which works fine!

I had this problem because I had two accounts of the same provider. Activating the first account, it works. Deactivating it, and activating the second account, received error "security check failed".

I solved temporary deleting the first account... maybe Ekiga get confused?
