how do i log off, sing out of ''Ekiga''. I have a phone that came with my wireless homehub. I already had a telephone registered to it, but ever since I opened and registered for an Ekiga account my homehub telephone has stopped working and I'm unable to use my second line. Please help

I need to log out of or sign off of Ekiga. Ever since I registering an account it's caused me a problem witih being seen online constantly on yahoo and msn and my homehub telephone won't work anymore. Please am I doing something wrong? I have reset my homehub to Default systems but that hasn't solved my problem with Ekiga being active constantly and my telephone not registering on my hub again.

u can completely delete ekiga via:

sudo apt-get purge ekiga

this will also delete the settings.

then i would reset your router/hub.

pls let us know if this might have worked.

Thank you DieB! It worked.... but one question - does this mean everytime I do install and use Ekiga this will happen? Would I always need to uninstall Ekiga and reset hub? Kinda bothersom

if u start gconf-editor u will be able to change the ports for ekiga (as it uses the standard ports for voip - this seems to me to be the problem) - you can finf ekiga under apps
