Yes it is, using a trick:
This service can translate SIP <-> Yahoo: http://www.gtalk2voip.com/

Someone used this trick to develop a client called "GyachI-Sidetrack" using Ekiga, see:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=773802

I've not tested it myself...

The proprietary client Gizmo use the same trick, but I guess GyachI-Sidetrack is the most feature-full.
