refuses to connect

set up Gutsy-Ekiga on my laptop Ahtec M31EI1 exactly as on the desktop - using same headset even - but cannot connect: icon plug does not stay in socket so to speak... Does anyone recognise this problem? Greetings, Trudi

Are you using an SIP server or Ekiga paid service? What is the error message on the status bar of ekiga window?

Jim, thanks for your reaction, but it seems I forgot to check Volume-Preferences. Didn' t check Microphone even.. Sorry to have bothered you. Trudi
