Ekiga crashes -must force quit

Asked by Tigerwolf

Ekiga launches, detects devices, and logs in my account.

Echo test is choppy/garbled, and never finishes the greeting. Connect time keeps increasing, but there's nothing, including no return echo.

Any attempt to hang up causes the application window to gray out and require a force quit.

Machine is dual core 2.0Ghz with 3G ram, Nvidia graphics and Intel audio laptop. CPU goes to max, and network traffic shows significant activity.

Tried 'Report Problem' and it gathered data and sent it someplace. However there was NO opportunity to describe the problem, and since the problem crashes the application, there's no way to report *after* it does.

Gizmo5 works fine.
