Editing a encrypted home directory from live cd

I copied data from an old laptop to a new install of KDE. Unfortunately there was more than I thought and it has locked up the hard drive so that it no longer boots. My home directory in encrypted. Is there any way of accessing home and deleting some files to allow booting?
