Any plans to update to a newer version of dspam?

The current version in Lucid is 3.6.8. Are there plans to update to a newer release (3.9.0 is the latest stable) for Maverick? I'm looking at doing some packaging myself.

The package will be included with time. Ubuntu is not a rolling release so packages will most likely be "outdated". Ubuntu strives to be a solid OS rather than have the latest stuff. This helps to ensure that new users see a stable OS rather than inheriting possible bugs in newer versions etc.

You can use PPAs to get later versions which other users have compiled. I have done a 3 second websearch and found a PPA. If you run this command you will get dspam 3.9.0

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:corecode/dspam; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade
