Setup a PPA with latest stable release

Asked by propan0 on 2010-08-13

It would be extremely useful for everyone if there was a PPA that we could use to keep our drush updated through normal means, if there was a PPA we could add to our software sources, which would hold the latest stable release from

This is discussed here, if you care to interact with the drupal ubuntu community =)

I'm not familiar with launchpad to the point of being able to setup such a thing, is this a posiblity?

You could setup your own.

Very true, I tried, sort of, went through the process of signing the Ubuntu Code of Conduct, so I can have my own PPA, but unfortunately I am completely new to the whole packaging and releasing /branching etc process/worflow, so I am reluctant to do this for now... do you know any good tutorials/places to learn such things?

I'm not doing it now like I said, because I would probably make many mistakes doing it and maintaining it... don't want to mess people's install.
