both of these showed just a little info... what i am looking for is a file or folder that says"on april 30 ,2007 ;installed ubuntu 7.04 ++++ on may 04 un-installed ubuntu 7.04 ++++on may may 06 2007 re-installed ubuntu 7.04 ,, and so on and so fourth up to today ..

I'd say it depends, this

would be too less for my taste.
But since this is kind of meta data, you may relate it to kernel images available for 7.04 (Feisty).
