dovecot lmtp crash with sieve

dovecot 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 on xenial contains a bug described in this thread:

It seems to be fixed on Dovecot 2.2.23:

Is is possible to upgrade the package on xenial?

I suggest you report a bug. It may get the package updated sooner rather than later
