Need help to get sieve filtering working

I'm trying to activate sieve filtering (http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve) on my mail server (c.f. http://oss.leggewie.org/dovecot.txt), but dovecot won't even start logging about it, let alone filter (dovecot was of course restarted after config changes). What am I doing wrong? Please help me get logging to work so that I can find out where the problem is. There doesn't seem to be anything in particular about sieve in the normal dovecot logs. My host is running Ubuntu 10.04 with all the latest packages.

Well, one part of the problem is that sieve only works with the deliver LDA from dovecot. I wasn't aware of that. I tried to enable that by commenting out a line I already had in my main.cf for postfix: "#mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver". Alas, once I did that and restarted postfix, mail stopped being delivered and was deferred instead. So, I've much one step closer, but I'm still stuck and looking for help.
