Why is the ubuntu/debian package using outdated (2 y/o) dma version?

Asked by Dawid Wróbel

The dma is actively developed and is now at 0.8 version [1]. Is there any reason why debian/ubuntu package uses the outdated version from 2010? The up-to-date version has some nice new features, like catch-all support for recipients.

Debian is assuming that the home page of the dma package is http://devel.ringlet.net/mail/dma with the newest version of 2010.06.17 (see http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/dma ). Ubuntu is following Debian and has got the same older version.

You should contact Debian if they can upgrade to the newer release, and Ubuntu most probably will follow.
