Asked by Richard Miles

I recently got Digikam 9.1 from ubuntu fiesty and imported the pictures to my album but I can not find the pictures. Did I do something wrong. The import was from a Canon A85 powershot.

Can you see the pictures in Digikam but can't locate them in your file browser, or are you not able to see the pictures even in Digikam?

The pictures imported into Digikam are stored in /home/<username>/Pictures, so you could take a look there.

I lost the pictures I tried to upload. I took some new pictures and tried again. This time after setting the folder to Pictures/mypics I was able to see the pictures in Digikam. I was confused by new interface in this version on Digikam. My previous version was 0.8.2 so I will have to do what I did with the new pictures in the future.

i dont know if this helps but cant most cams be connected as USB Drives (flash memory).
so i think that would be the easiest way, u can just drag-drop the pictures out of ur cam.
