Can't connect to Kyocera SL300R

I think I've tried most things, but can't connect and download pics off my Kyocera SL300R digital camera. Help would be greatly appreciated.

This shows that your camera is supported only in Mass Storage mode using SD/MMC card.

Do you have a MMC card reader? Also, does the camera mount at all when you connect it via USB?
Plug in the camera and type "lsusb" -- at a terminal to see if it shows up there.
