How do I install dialog on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ?

I am trying to install a patch for AVermedia Hybrid Volar HX DVB Stick and need to install Dialog on the system.

Yes, I did this and found that it worked. I'm very new to Ubuntu.
