Could this be updated to the newest version? See http://sourceforge.net/projects/diacanvas

New version of this library is needed to run gaphor 0.8.1 (gaphor 0.7.1 crashes in Dapper, see https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gaphor/+bug/30344).

This is a bug (see https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gaphor/+bug/30344) I'm not sure of any other info.

Yes it is. To fix it a new version of gaphor could be used but first, a new upstream version of diacanvas is needed.
So as it is not a diacanvas bug, but just an upgrade request, I've enter it as a support item.
