how do i install devede??

Asked by johm mcconnell

having a VERY hard time trying to install devede.(assuming it will work for me)I have k3b and winff installed and i need a way to convert avi and divx files to dvd format and then burn them to disk. I have googled my fingers raw trying to get some answers, but no luck. my software center says that devede is unavailable. is there a program that will convert the files to dvd and then burn them to disk?? i was using the avs converter with windows and it worked ok. I really need this because some bbc shows are just not available except as avi downloads in the us and my monitor is way too small and in a much to uncomfortable place to watch them over the computer.

Go to System -> Administration -> Software Sources and enable the "multiverse" component, then open Software Center and select View -> All Applications.
