Bug in Mencode

I went to Synaptic and installed DeVeDe 3.11 from there. It loaded well but when I ran a file conversion there was an error report that there may be a bug in mencode.

I run Intrepid Ubuntu.

These are the steps I took:

Video = DVD
PAL
Action: Only convert film files of compliant MPEG files
Optimise for Multicore CPU

Added in an AVI file
video rate 1351 as original is 1351
Audio rate 448 same as original
No split files

Preview worked.
Full conversion gave the mencode error message as above at the start.

I have just changed the output location and I think it is working. I browsed to a new directory and have just run the conversion. For the moment I am assuming that solved the problem.
