Deluge won't start giving error ipcinterface:156

Asked by Jesús Morales

I'm using ubuntu 12.04, not exactly sure why this happened but deluge won't start, had a power out this morning but deluge wasn't running, when I click the icon or click a magnet link it won't do anything, tried starting it from terminal and it gave me this error:

[ERROR ] 19:05:07 ipcinterface:156 Deluge restart failed: Couldn't listen on any:/home/jesus/.config/deluge/ipc/deluge-gtk: Cannot acquire lock.

I found this, http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:y2WJ8KwcFRwJ:ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php%3Ft%3D2144173%26p%3D12653853+&cd=1&hl=es-419&ct=clnk&client=ubuntu but before I give it a try I wanted to see if this should be filed as a bug and I'm not sure about the info I should provide so maybe someone else can file it as a bug.

Thanks guys.

Are there bugs reported?
If you make a fresh Ubuntu user and run the same application, is it the same?

Thanks

Sorry, needed to use deluge so deleted the ipc folder this morning and the problem was solved, still have no idea how to reproduce the issue, I think because it was in the .config folder it wouldn't have affected another user but can't try now. Gonna mark the question as solved but I guess people looking for the error will find it here and maybe know how to provide more info.

Thanks.
