Why is there no decission for a bug which affects a lot of german user?

Hi,

The Bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/1377873) is undecided for almost over one year. Its a huge problem for people with mutated vowel in their language?

 I'm a member of the german community and responsible for the "backup forum" at ubuntuusers.de. So I think I can answer this subquestion:

Yes it is a huge problem causing a lot of users, to leave aside Deja Dup or even Unity.

That this problem affect users of multiple languages can bee seen by bug #1406505 (french) to name just one example.
