Backup operation not supported by backend

Asked by Loren41

Trying to run Deja Dup backup but operation fails. Message is "Backup Failed. Operation not supported by backend." Directing output via Samba to a server on my home network. Backups were working earlier but I must have changed something. Need help.
Prefer GUI solutions when possible.

Used Nautilus to view network files. Opened my server file /tower and
added Deja Dup to permissions list. Now the backup command returns
"Backup Failed. Location is already mounted." What is happening?

Weird. Both your errors are things I wouldn't expect. Can you file a bug and provide all the information/logs it asks for?

Problem solved! After creating a bug report, I went back to my Deja Dup settings screen and saw that the Server box was empty. I entered the name of my unRAID server, "tower," closed the screen and restarted Deja Dup. The backup began immediately.
