cyrus-imapd 2.5.10 bug

Asked by Eric Donkersloot on 2018-07-09

Hi,

There is a serious bug in the cyrus-imapd 2.5.10 series (https://github.com/cyrusimap/cyrus-imapd/issues/1872) which fortunately is fixed in the 2.5.11 release (https://cyrusimap.org/imap/download/release-notes/2.5/x/2.5.11.html).

This bug is really annoying, especially if you have lots of MacOS or iOS clients connecting to your server.
Any chance that a 2.5.11 deb will be landing in Bionic soon?

Kind regards,

Eric

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages can be left in favour of stability. This is especially true in the LTS releases
