Canon iP4600 USB printer not connected

Asked by ealthuis

Upgraded my systems to Ubuntu 9.10, I now find that the Canon iP4600 USB printer is seen, but cannot be printed to. This is so on both Linux computers, both up to dat with the latest updates. I also installed VBox, it works fine but also does not find the printer even though it is listed.

The dual boot WIndows XP system prints fine.

I posted an earlier problem, #84031, The setup is correct.

This problem has been corrected, I do not know why, but I had removed the USB cable, when I plugged it back in, the list in the USB icon included the Canon printer, I printed a page, and all seems well.

Problem solved.
