printer EPSON stylus SX405 wifi edition

I haver bought a EPSON stylus sx 405 wifi printer. There is a windows and mac driver delivered with the printed and the linux driver can be downloaded (half of it). because the printer came with a "wireless printer server" which require's an MFP-manager. this last program is missing for linux pc's. is there any solution to get this printer working via wifi?

Looks like it will not work unless someone creates MFP manager for ubuntu...

HA, it works!

1. Start according to:
http://blog.vacs.fr/index.php?post/2009/05/09/Install-Epson-Stylus-PX700W-printer-with-CUPS-on-Ubuntu-8.10

2. gdk-imlib11-dev worked not on my machine, use sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev libgtkglext1-dev instead. (Hope that those were those packages, i fought with that a few hours, I can be mistaken).

3. It can even need gettext and other libraries that are missing, install them according to error messages

4. pipslite_1.3.0-2.tar.gz has newer version, do not only copy and paste from page in topic 1!!!

5. ppd file - take from original disc or install printer with printer manager first, then copy from CUPS folder, copy to pendrive, you're gonna need it

6. At last, go to windows and check adress of your MFP print server, input it accordingly as it is shown in page from topic 1. These "socket:// adress " are the most important!

7. ... Enjoy :)

Ooops, forgot one thing:
About paragraph 6: Choose "network printer" --> Host/LPR/LPD printer, input URL adress of your printer, when it finds it, choose whatever, t.ex. passthru. You will change it from printer manager till socket. Do not attempt to print earlier, it won't work.
