karmic beta shared printer doesn' t work

I prefer to ask here before opening a bug, because cups in karmic is new and may be I'm missing some detail.
I have a desktop pc with a Brother laser printer connected on USB, it works like a charm.
I have as well an eeepc running Jaunty, I want that this pc can share the Brtoher printer.
Until I had Jaunty on the desktop pc there was no problem, I configured the shared printer and added it to the eeepc printer manager with 3 clicks.
Now I installed Karmic on the desktop pc and there is no way to share the printer with the eeepc.
I can configure the printer on the eeepc anc cups (localhost:631) says me that the printer is on and waiting jobs, but when I send a print test from cups (and any other print job from OOffice i.e.) the job stay appended and the system says me "may be the printer is offline?"
Obviously not, the printer is on-line.
The only I could notice is that when on the desktop there was Jaunty I could see that there was the port 5900 open and listening for cups jobs.
Now cups says to me that the shared printer is listening on socket://luca-desktop:9100, but on luca-desktop there is no port 9100 open and listening, neither 5900 or else.

On desktop pc nothing appears on access_log and error_log

I'm missing something?
