Dell Inspiron 6400 using Ubuntu 9.04

The HP Device Manager indicates Good/OK when the colour cartridge shows empty in bar. How can this be corrected?

I am experiencing the same for my HP printer, john. This issue has been raised in the hplip section of Launchpad (https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip) and an intention to rectify this for the next version of hplip has been stated.

If you want to post this question on the hplip section, please state which version of hplip you are using. You can check this in HP Device Manager Help.
