problem installing printer Canon Pixma iP6310D

After trying to install printer Canon Pixma iP6310D with Ubuntu I came to the conclusion that it might never work with this OS. If there is no way to make it work, would it be possible to suggest 2 or 3 similar printers that would work with Ubuntu? Thanks, Pierre Cassan.

If you have a new cartridge, read on the box, there are some compatible printers... try them ;)
