cannot get my lexmark x4850 to work (hooked at usb or wireless)

I have tried to download drivers I am at witts end I really like ubuntu but if I can't hook up printer I will have to go back to microsoft and I really don't want to.

Unfortunately this printer will not work with Linux. If you don't want to go back to Windows then change your printer...

Use the following site. They have a Linux driver. But I'm not sure if it works.
