Do you have CUPS installed? CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) Is available from HP-Lip and does support more than a few non HP printers. You might be able to run a windows driver using WINE

I went ahead and installed CUPS, but not having any luck. I will try running "WINE" after work. Thanks for the info...I am new at this..."Ubuntu" so far I find it way faster than Vista.

I tried hunting for a linux driver for you and got as far as the above link. i didn't know enough about your printer to be able to select one of the above but there is a list there from the Cups website.
