font output on HP P2015

Asked by trevor

When printing .prn files from Red Hat EL ES v4 to HP Laserjet P2015 printer the fonts are not printed correctly. The font in the original MS Word doc is Arial font but the ouput characters are overprinting and randomly spaced. The Word doc is printed to disc to create the .prn file and then upload to the Linux server to be printed when required however they are unreadable. It is not consistent in that Arial narrow fonts usually print OK but Arial usally prints gibberish. Any suggestions welcomed.

I am afraid that you won't find here enough people who can answer your question. This forum is about Launchpad, a web platform for collaborative software develoment, while your question is a about printing via a Red Hat server.

Please ask this question in a Red hat forum, or in the answers section of a printing related project on Launchpad.
